Let's play, Chain Tig, Chain Tig, Chain Tig!
let's play, Chain Tig, "Paddy Joe, you're on!"
"No I'm not! No I'm nor!" "Yes you are! Yes you are!"
"No I'm nor! No I'm not!" "Yes, yes, you are!"
"Paddy can't catch me, catch me, catch me.
Paddy can't catch me. Paddy Joe is on."
Paddy comes running, we go running. "Here we are, where are you?"
"Here I am!" "No you're not. He he he!"
Paddy tags Alice, Alice, Alice.
Paddy tags Alice and she links on.
They come running, we go running. "Here we are! Where are you?"
"Here we are!" "No you're not. Cant you see?"
The chains getting longer, longer, longer.
The chain's getting longer and they're after me.
I keep running. They keep after. "Here I am!" Where are they?
"Here we are!" Where am I? Oh dear me!
We run forward, forward, forward.
We run forward and stumble with glee.
The chain pulls this way, the chain pulls that way!
We don't know who we're after so we break in three.
The link can't be broken, broken, broken.
The link can't be broken, so we must agree.
We all run sideways, stretching after Seamus.
And now that he is cornered, we yell with glee.
But Seamus charges at us, at us, at us.
Seamus charges at us, believe you me.
He ducks under arm, and there, trapped, comes to harm.
And Paddy Joe and Alice have the victory.
There's not many left now, left now, left now.
There's not many left now, one, two, three.
The chain pulls this way. The chain pulls that way.
We're chasing after Margaret and we all agree.
She runs this way. She runs that way.
She's getting slower and so are we.
But we pull this way and we pull that way.
"What?" The bell is is ringing. Oh dear me.
