What else could you possibly want to be
but a mariner. Yet, they just couldn't see it.
"Is there a sea-faring tradition in the family?"
they asked perplexed. And she said, "no", perplexed.
And the window was open and the sun was shining.
And the blue lagoon that was the Atlantic, was a playful place.
And beyond the lagoon the golden sand gleamed in the sunlight.
Yet they still couldn't see it!
For they had lived their lives in offices,
and filled their heads with theories
and were bamboozled -
by white linen tablecloth's and silver condiment sets.

These were good people, who had my interests at heart.
But they just couldn't see it.
