And I was too dismayed to know how to explain.
And I can't be sure why I choose
The colour purple.
Was it innate wisdom? A case of
"Out of the darkness light."
They say that purple denotes "royalty" and "wealth"
"Wisdom and spirituality". I like the sound of that.
Much better than "exotic" or, "artificial".
But whatever else, it is unmistakably me!
Not us! But three score years of me
Full bodied and smiling.
And they are in the substance.
