It stood there
a space age monument
resplendent in green and white.
A last thought
a parting gift
of the very best.
A testament to love,
and tender feeling,
from one mother to another.

This poem was amended by me on 16th February 2011: lower case letters have been used for the second and third lines in each verse; and the final line (which still expresses the original sentiment), has been re-written. And oh dear! had had to correct the spelling of the word Transcending (originally Trancending)
